I am absolutely blown away by your love and support!
Thank you to the nearly 100 people who contributed to the fundraising campaign!
Now on to the final standings that I am sure you've all been waiting for:
1. American Cancer Society - $3,230
2. Allie's Haven - $2,630
3. The First Tee - $2,450
With the $260 winner's donation to American Cancer Society from our philanthropy group, together we raised a total of $8,570!
I was able to compile together the details from all donors to gather some fun facts I would like to share with everyone!:
- The website hosted traffic (visits) from 26 states and 7 countries.
- We had donations come from 16 states and 2 countries (thanks Canada).
- There were 24 donors from the KC Metro area who donated a total of $1,695 .
- There were 35 donors from the dFW Metroplex who donated a total of $1,770.
From the bottom of my heart, I cannot tell you how much this entire process has meant to me and helped me heal. March is Mental Health Awareness month and the culmination of this fundraiser has proven to be a great start.
Melissa lived her life to the fullest and that is what we will do as well! Looking back on all of the great photos of her I landed upon a collection of her, my dad, and their friends down at Mardi Gras. It just seemed fitting to share them this week. She always let the good times roll and encouraged others to join her, which is exactly what is evidenced in these photos.
So as Mom said countless times down in NOLA, laissez les bon temps rouler!
