Money raised through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events helps fund the mission of the American Cancer Society: to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
WHY THIS CHARITY?
Melissa was a Portrait of Hope Ambassador for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Kansas City in 2017. She spoke as a survivor, sharing her wisdom and insight with those who were still fighting the good fight. Mom remains the strongest person I’ve ever known and there is no greater role model. The wonderful people at ACS gave her invaluable love and support during her journey, which is why I want to give back to the organization that helped her during her weakest times.
